typhoon vicente hit hong kong with tremendous velocity on 24 july early morning. the ferocious wind and rain kept me sleepless during the early hours. later in the morning the wind slowly subsided. on the way to work, everywhere i walked past were tree debris. pedestrian trees which were given tiny living space were the first to be beaten. shame on the authority of their ignorance of and little respect to urban plant. what hurt most is that many old trees could not escape from damage.

10 days after the typhoon, we still have many tree corpse lying around, outside highway, in parks and along hill slopes. it is really painful seeing that.
