last saturday i and two friends followed a trek tour at tsuen wan. i never hike in this district before and had made no expectation before the trip. it turned out to be very enjoyable, because of the wonders along the trek, also of the great gathering with friends.
we started at the tai mo shan country park management centre. take a kmb bus 51 from tsuen wan west or tsuen wan mtr stations and alight at this stop.
the first half of the trip is nice and easy. we went along the tai lam forest track and had a wonderful forest shower. it rained right before (luckily) and curtains of shower mist were trapped within the woods. it added a sense of fairy ground to the beginning of our journey.
half way through our path turned from concrete to mud. it wasn’t long nor difficult. glad to have a part of the trek like this in fact because our journey included a section of an old trail called yuan tsuen ancient trail; yuen refers to yuen long, and tsuen is tsuen wan; our trek on saturday was almost all on man-made path, except of this section.
and the excitement did not stop there. soon after meeting the cattle by far, we enjoyed a 180 degree view across south china sea, tsing ma bridge to tsuen wan urban area at shek long gong.
the rest of the route was straightly going downhill and the view was amazing. mountain green accompanying us on the left and the urban jungle of tsuen wan was right at our footstep.
這段路陡幅蠻大對膝蓋腳底都是考驗一邊走也不忘慶倖下山總比上山易。接近港安醫院終點，附近散住一些從事種植的平房，也是另一風光也令我想像舊日這裡的村落風土民情。it was steep and a test to our knee cap and feet palm towards the end of the route. we passed through some shabby houses with planting ground in front and our journey ended at kwong on hospital.
