this plant is native to hong kong, and can be found in southern china and southeast asia. it is hard to recognize in other times, but when it flowers, you cannot miss it. the english common name tells it all.
eagle’s claw sounds fierce. i however find the blossoms beautiful in a soft way, or rather sad, because of the drooping flower petals. the flowers first come in green, then turn yellow.
the fruit of this plant is even more unforgettable, but let me tell you when the season comes.
