yesterday the city went through the legco election, today is the result day. we are not discussing the election here. it just happened that two days ago i went pass admiralty and the government hq and i walked all the way to central. along the route, there is lung wo road. one of the core venues during the umbrella movement two years ago.
the golden penda is blossoming golden-yellow right now. it is a coincident, but i can’t help making a sentimental connection: remembering those yellow umbrella two years ago …
ok. back to the plant. it is native to australia. you may quite easily spot them in the city, mainly in parks and as pedestrian plant. it is an evergreen small tree in slender and up-right shape. leaves are shiny green. flowering happens late summer to autumn. it produces showy golden racemes or flowerheads.
