東平洲自然人文雜錄 tung ping chau may 7 2017

五月初去了一趟東平洲。一個島嶼,滿是寶藏,由最招牌的岩石地貌,到假日遊人如鯽與荒廢民居的對比,還有豐盛的海岸岩岸生境 …… 簡單的筆記/圖片紀錄:

tung ping chau, an island at the very north-east corner of hong kong. it is a treasure island, full of rock wonders and creatures. hope that the increasing number of visitors are not upsetting the nature there. here is a rough record of things i saw in a trip there early may.

碼頭  looking back to the pier 

「豆腐石」節理與海水侵蝕的結晶  wave and sea water action on joints creating these “to-fu” rock pattern 

「千層糕」岩礫  shale resembles a layered sponge 

苦郎樹  glory bower (clerodendrum inerme) 露兜  hala fruit (pandanus tectorius) 空置的村屋  deserted village house 昆蟲 (品種待查)  insect to identify 昆蟲卵  insect eggs 林屋一帶,樹穿屋,好一幅肝腸寸斷。 almighty chinese banyan. 楊梅  chinese bayberry (myrica rubra)  天后宮。牆頭的壁畫是自家特色的海洋生物和植物,與一般中國神話或吉祥畫像不一樣。 tin hau temple, with unique wall painting in the theme of ocean and wild lives.  

亞媽灣。可看到海中的舢舨繫船泡。 a ma wan. you can see the mooring buoy for sampan in the sea. 仙人掌  prickly pear (opuntia stricta) 補血草 &「千層糕」sea lavender (limonium sinense) among “layered sponge cake” 

亞媽灣。岩層向海傾斜。岩石呈閃黑色,成因之一,植物化石瀝青化。fragments of plant fossils bitumination adom the rock surface with an iridescent black coat  奶頭咀  nai tau tsui 

更樓石至難過水 from kang lau shek to lan kwo shui 

更樓石潮池  tide pool at kang lau shek 白紋方蟹 grapsus albolineatus  enteromorpha spp. 滸苔,綠藻門石蓴科的一屬  sea lettuces, a group of edible green algae ralfsia expansa – the dark brown circular patches, a kind of encrusting algae 覆蓋性藻類 海膽 sea urchin 石蓴屬 ulva – 可食用的綠色藻類植物 sea luttuce 貝類  shells 螺貝類  ssnails 海葵和石鱉 sea anemone (actiniaria order) & chitons (acanthopleura japonica) 

羊角拗  strophanthus divaricatus 植物待查  a plant to identify 

龍落水  lung lok shui 

金斑虎甲  blue spotted tiger beetle (cicindela aurulenta) 鵝頸藤壺  gooseneck barnacle (lepas anserifera) 海兔 aplysia (genus) sea hares 

斬頸洲  cham keng chau
