給般含道的情書與輓歌 悼鄧志昂樓門坊旁榕樹 an ode to the good old green bonham road. granny chinese banyan ouside tang chi ngong building, sorry & rest in peace

this blog sadly from time to time will post tree obituary, to mourn the death of some beautiful, and mostly old and valuable trees in this city. the last one dated back to post typhoon hato time, in sept 2017. the most hurtful piece, not only to me but many residents in... rapsberry!

for the past few days, i can’t help walking up the hill not too far from home and check out those adorable ruby-like fruit ripening away along a grassy shrubby slope. i thought raspberry is a very western fruit. the fact is that there... 2018 spider tree flower celebration

this blog started on spider tree flower season in spring back in 2012. almost every post i mentioned about the best scenery along prince edward road west. yet never did i truly walk along the stretch of road planted with spider tree and make a first person appreciation of the season, until...

這部落開筆多年,就還沒有專題寫過樟樹 (多不該!) camphor is one of the most common and close-to-heart trees in hong kong. common in the sense that it is a native tree, it is in abundance here; even non-nature lovers in particular the less young ones, most likely camphor has a place in their hearts or mind, because the older generations...
