flame vine or more commonly known in hong kong as fire-cracker vine is a south amercian native. this species however now is generally a garden species. in hong kong as well as being used in gardening, very often you see them in the wild. it was chinese new year holiday and... 藍楹紅影 the blue and red of early summer

every year i chase the flower seasons of jacaranda and flame of the forest. this year seems to be the first the two are overlapping. for now i’d prefer not to jump into blaming climate change as the two flowering seasons are in fact quite close to each other. the jacaranda not... 紫雲木 - 藍花楹 here comes the lavender mist, jacaranda flowering season

spring is always intense for flower lovers. spider trees’ flowers are just turning from white and yellow to golden, jacaranda waste no time splash colour lavender on the plant map of this city. jacaranda is native to south america. perhaps this is why the trees...

a blog reader asked me a while back when will jacaranda bloom. just like to tell him that the time is here. yesterday i saw the few jacaranda trees at the central lawn in victoria park waving lavender blossoms. jacaranda is native to south america and is a popular ornamental tree in australia....
