雙翼豆快影 quick snap: yellow poinciana (peltophorum pterocarpum)

這陣子雙翼豆開花了。大雨然大太陽的天氣,應該是花開得如此燦爛的原因吧。 之前已經專文寫過,所以不再作詳細資料描述。 只想點出,雙翼豆開花的肢體型態很有剛勁的美感。每個花簇把有如一個巴掌,枝幹分明,豔花的花苞從枝底有序向上伸延。花本身美得野性,而植物本身卻展示條理的理性。 it is now flowering season of yellow poinciana. only at this time i realize there are quick many of them in this city. at other time, this plant is like an easy guy, hiding among the green. if you want to know more about this tree information wise. check my previous post.... 紫春花 - 港油麻藤 a violet spring flower – hong kong mucuna (mucuna championii)

三月中一個週日,在鹿頸附近遊走,偶遇港油麻藤,非常美的紫春花。 港油麻藤與俗稱禾雀花的白花油麻藤是近親,同屬黧豆屬,而前者因首次在香港發現,所以以港命名,又稱香港黧豆。 此攀藤植物花冠蝶形,紫色花朵成總狀花序。卵形三小葉形成羽狀複葉序。果披銹色硬毛,腹背有翅。比起白花禾雀花,紫色的似乎較少見。這次難得機會在野外碰到,對鮮花驚艷,旁邊已枯老的烏紫色調和變化了的質感,也像老了的酒,饒有味道。 it was a great surprise spotting this beautiful native species during a hike around luk keng in mid march. the dark violet is so gracious. people are more familiar with mucuna birdwoodiana in the same family and species that bore yellowish white boom around this time as well. hongkongers and chinese refer...
