雞冠刺桐 cockspur coral-tree (erythrina crista-galli)

  雞冠刺桐的花朵,紅豔而有個性,像南美女性。 花形特別。且撮述維基上的描述: 花為五數花,完全花,左右對稱……花冠為蝶形花冠,有五片花瓣,分別稱為旗瓣、翼瓣與龍骨瓣。旗瓣一片,位於花冠的最外面,五片花瓣中最大。翼瓣二片,细小,隱藏花萼裏,不易看到。龍骨瓣二片,偶而部分結合在一起,保護生殖器官。雄花器由十支雄蕊組成,雄蕊分成二束,為二體雄蕊,其中一束只有一支雄蕊,另一束則由九支雄蕊組成,這九支雄蕊的花絲合生在一起。 雞冠刺桐原生南美,阿根廷和烏拉圭都以她為國花。現在植物世界各地都有種植。落葉小喬木,是有剌的樹種(是以刺桐屬)。總狀花序。果實為莢果。 cockspur coral-tree is a small to medium sized deciduous tree. it is native to south america but now commonly grew in other parts of the world as ornamental plants. its flower is the national flower of argentina and uruguay.
