銀樺與紅花銀樺 silky oak and red silky oak

have spotted the two silky oaks booming lately. the silky oak and red silky oak are both australian natives. perhaps the latter specifically originated from queensland, it also has a chinese common name queensland silky oak. we see silky oak more in hong kong, so i am making the assumption that it...

these few mango trees steps away from the east entrance of hong kong park are old members of the park.) mango blooms are always explosive, so even they are of earthy tone not really fleshy, the power is there. therefore this blog year after year can’t help noting the arrival of the flower...

hong kong has a recognizable population of wild parrots. it used to be territorial specific. central on hong kong island is the home base of yellow-crested cockatoo, and alexandrine parakeet and rose-ringed parakeet are seen at kowloon park. but as time passes, the territorial distinction seems fading a bit. i’ve seen some white...

when i was a kid, when people talked about nature spectacle and travel aboard, go canada to catch the autumn maple was a must. later people travel closer, to japan, korea and taiwan. but don’t you know that we have our own maple....
