領木蜂 collared carpenter bee

這傢夥的模樣，有點趣致又有點惡形，讓我懷疑他不是蜂類。 the latin name is xylocopa collaris. this little guy has a cute mixed with fierce look. 原來在香港蠻常見的。但按一個部落客說，他們比較多出現在夏天。我卻在新春時節在濕地公園遇到他。 這領木蜂是雄性的。雌性的身體主要是黑色的。 this is a male as it is greenish in colour. the female is with more black. when i searched the name, a blog returned in which said that this species is quite common in hong kong.
