喜歡自然、喜歡樹木花草，喜歡家香港的社區、歷史、文化，早在懷疑人生之前已經喜歡散步，而家住西區，所以西區到中區密集地滿布我的足跡。
又到節果決明開花時。驀然回首，在此部落以文字記錄，第一篇寫於2012年《白與嫣紅雨- 節果決明 pink and white shower》，今已10年，中環的美利大廈華麗轉身為美利酒店，也看著那棵節果決明經歷的歲月改變。
最初認識此樹，沒有特別多去了解她的品種，主要覺得樹那麽高壯，身處政府大樓的停車場當中，花開得特別嬌美，有點代她嘆息周圍人來車往，卻沒有人停下來看花賞樹；
不久之後，美利大廈要由公用大樓轉為商業用途，擔心她的安危，結果她身邊大廈範圍的草木也真的被清空，慶幸她保住性命沒有被消失。
這些年來，開花季節，她與周邊的環境和背景不變也確改變， 當年她靠自己的力量站穩發揮的是自然生存的美，今天則獲得護養身價矜貴，看著她高大樹幹得到支撐牽引，看著她開花，為她高興獲得知音和庇護。
衷心希望她可以頤養天年，繼續美麗。
it was may 2012 that i first wrote about the pink and white shower at murray. the time i knew about her was even longer. many changes especially in this city. so is the general big environment. i meant the earth and climate pattern. 10 years ago, the tree bloomed in may. this year, 2021, the flowers started coming out in early april.
ten years ago, the setting of《白與嫣紅雨- 節果決明 pink and white shower》was murray building, still a governmental building. the tree was standing in the middle of a parking lot. the contrasts were touching. the tree was tall and strong and bloomed with delicate blossoms, the façade of murray was shabby and the space around the tree was unattended, with public servants and cars caring less about the beautiful nature extravaganza.
it feels strange but happy for the tree that this year the murray hotel is organizing a series of events to celebrate the boom of this old and valuable tree. seldom for plants and creatures in the centre of this city have the privilege human being to give honour to. even though in the countryside or among the eco-loving circles the stories are different, like the jet fruit festivals and birding seasons.
